Prayer Books

I am looking for prayer books and I am wondering if you all have any suggestions. I currently have:

Psalms (David)
Sirach
Psalms of Islam

They can be of any religion as long as its about God, to God, thanking God, happiness, joy, good fortune etc. I'd love a Buddhist one :). Think happy thoughts.

If you have suggestions, leave them in the comment section. English books only please.

  1. "Fortress of the Muslim" is a beautiful little book (literally; it's pocket-sized) that has du'as for pretty much every occasion imaginable, as well as general prayers and words of thanksgiving. It has both the Arabic transliteration and English, as well as explanations of the dua's in English. www.beliefnet.com has a great prayer section with prayers to say for all occasions.

  3. Let's see... I have both the 1928 and the 1970-something Books of Common Prayer for the Episcopal Church. I assume you want English, right?
